Maastricht Maintenance Boulevard focuses on innovative challenges, in order to achieve a stronger market position. Examples of innovation are in the field of logistics and the development of new maintenance concepts.

For strengthening the innovation power of Maastricht Maintenance Boulevard, the development of clusters is of key importance. Innovative MRO could be of interest to OEMs of regional aircraft.

In 2008, the Maastricht Maintenance Boulevard qualified for an Innovation Performance Contract subsidy, for an amount of EUR 1,7 million. This has led to the development of innovation plans for each of the participating small and medium size enterprises. In total 19 SMEs have now participated in this project. Two collective projects are being executed: Total Care MRO and MRO Composite.
